East Dorset Antiquarian Society Online

How to Join

Our membership categories and annual fees are shown below -

Our membership fee is payable on joining with renewal on 1st April each year. If you join between Janaury and March your renewal will be due on 1st April the following year.

If you are interested in joining the society, or want more details, please contact us by sending an email to: mail at (replace 'at' with @ sign) dorset-archaeology.org.uk. Alternatively, complete and send us the Application with Gift Aid Declaration Form. Our preferred payment method is by Standing Order. Please complete the Standing Order Authority and send it to your bank, or set it up online - depending on who you bank with, you may need to make a one-off payment for this year and set up a separate standing order for future years. Please mark the box on the Application Form to confirm you have arranged the standing order. Alternatively, please send a cheque payable to EDAS with your application.

We're a charity and if you complete the Gift Aid Declaration and are a UK taxpayer, we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you give us. Gift Aid is a government scheme where charities can reclaim money on your contribution from the HM Revenue & Customs. And it's at no cost to you.

You can only select the GAD option if you are a UK taxpayer. This means that you will have a taxable income of at least £12,570 for the tax year to 5 April 2024. If you are a non-taxpyer, please select the second option.
For those of you with a joint membership, if either of you is a taxpayer then he\she can sign the GAD provided the amount is paid from their bank account or from a joint account. Even if both of you are taxpayers we only need one of you to sign.
You will need to contact us, if at any time in the future, you want to cancel the Declaration, change your name or address, or no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains. If you have any queries regarding the GAD please let us know.
