We welcome new members to our Society, with the following annual subscriptions:

  • Individual £8.50
  • Joint/Family (including children up to school leaving age) £12.00
  • Junior Associates (16 and 17 years old) £ 5.00
  • Student (anyone 18 or over in full-time education) £5.00
  • Institutional Membership £12.00

Renewal is on 1st April each year.

In both cases please download this standing order authority and send it to your bank, or use the details to set it up online if they offer that service.

If you download the application form please ensure you mark the box to confirm you have arranged the standing order.

Gift Aid

EDAS is a registered charity. If you are a UK taxpayer please complete the Gift Aid Declaration (GAD) on the application so that we can reclaim 25p for every £1 you give us – it won’t cost you a penny more.

If you are not a UK taxpayer, please select the second option.

Joint members can complete the GAD if either is a taxpayer, provided subscriptions are paid from a taxpayer’s account or a joint one.

Higher rate taxpayers can obtain additional tax relief by informing HMRC of Gift Aid donations, usually through their tax return.

You will need to contact us if you change your name or address, or if you no longer pay tax. Do let us know if you have any queries.

    Charity Gift Aid Declaration – Multiple Donation

    It won’t cost you a penny more but saying ‘yes’ to Gift Aid means we receive an additional 25% for your subscription (‘donation’) from HM Revenue and Customs. By selecting Yes, you agree to Gift Aid your donation and any donations you make in the future, or any you have made in the past four years, to East Dorset Antiquarian Society. You confirm that you are a UK Taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations in that tax year, it is your responsibility to pay any difference.

    Please notify East Dorset Antiquarian Society if you:

    • want to cancel this declaration

    • change your name or home address

    • no longer pay sufficient tax on your income and/or capital gains

    If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment Tax Return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code.
